A group of 21 college students are spending their summer serving. Day in and day out they serve as a team going to places to serve entire communities and to tell children about God’s love. This is a great way to spend the summer, making friends, serving others, learning about God, and having fun!

We want to invite all of you to a concert that will take place at the BSM this Thursday April 22nd at our BSM at 8:30 PM.

This will be a time of ministry through music and focus on Scripture. Our guest is Two Cent Sparrows

Again we are posting one of our favorite pictures. This picture is of a journey group that meets on Monday. The reason I like this picture is because of the amazing way these guys are getting to know each other and grow in Christ together. I took this picture using my iphone. The journey group room was being used this particular day so I let them crash my office for the Bible study.

Back to school!!

Hey everyone!!! We are back to school on Monday from an awesome/fun/resting spring break 2010. I hope you all had many opportunities to serve with the BSM–helping out churches or going to Beach Reach to minister to non-believers–God has worked in many ways!! Lets ask God to give us strength to go back to school and be focused in not only that but of the things of the Lord, because He is the one that gives us focus!! JOIN US FOR FREE LUNCH on Thursday at the BSM (next to the Rec center)–We have CHOICE at night starting at 8pm and its a lot of fun!! Bring your friends!! God bless everyone <>< See you all soon!!

P.S. We will keep you posted on new events that are coming up for the BSM!!

Valentines Picnic 2010!!

Guys we had such a great turn out of the picnic!! I hope you all had a chance to listen to Roberts biblical message and not just…well hear but apply it to our lives today. Thank God everything worked out and we had such a great talent show–amazing and so much fun–try and think of a talent you might have and present it at the next BSM event–everyone has a talent don’t be shy!! The BSM was literally full and people didn’t know where to sit * it was an amazing experience!! Thank you to everyone that help set up and get things ready for the Picnic and clean up after. The getting married was so much fun and meeting new friends that you didn’t even know you had around you Keep inviting your friends to future events that we will have at the BSM. We will upload pictures from the Picnic soon–so stay tuned!! Praise the Lord–Jesus loves you!! *GOD IS LOVE* Have a blessed week everyone!!

Valentine’s Week

This week we are starting our weeklong festivity on relationships. It is going to be a really cool week. Tomorrow we start with a campus wide flower giveaway. We will be on campus hanging out helpful information on dating.

On Thursday we will have a special Free Lunch with fun games and Biblical discussion on love. On Thursday night we are having a Valentine’s party! We wills start at 8PM.

Fundraising for Haiti

Last week we had an amazing time on campus raising money for the people of Haiti. We had over 40 BSM students that showed up to help and come together to rally UTPA students to give and help victims of the earthquake.
The event was called Hamburgers for Haiti. Through this effort we were able to raise money for three causes that are currently on the ground helping those that needed the most. Here are some pictures of the event (to see the full collection click here:

SECOND FREE LUNCH

Hey GUYS! So this was so amazing We had our second free lunch and praise the Lord that we had so many college students come that we ran out of hamburgers!! I saw a lot of new faces so keep inviting friends to come and join us Thursdays from 12-1pm!!

We are at our new building…

Today we are starting the new semester at our new building. We praise God for providing this amazing facility where UTPA students can come to meet friends, hang out, and learn about God.
Our building will be open from 9 Am to 7 PM this week. See you there!

If you visit our building often here is something you should now about parking:
1. You need to register your vehicle in order to receive your parking permit.
2. You BSM parking permit is free but it must be placed on your windshield.
3. In a couple of weeks all cars parked at the BSM without a permit will be subjected to towing.
4. We have reserved parking spaces for staff and guests so please do not park there.
